-My name is Dana and I am a junior in High school
Course description:
"Through problems that engage and challenge, students explore a broad range of engineering topics, including mechanisms, the strength of structures and materials, and automation. Students develop skills in problem solving, research, and design while learning strategies for design process documentation, collaboration, and presentation."-PLTW
Take-a-ways
Principals of engineering is a course that exposes a student to a wide variety of the expectations of an engineer and a little bit of different fields of engineering that the student could pursue. I chose this course to further my engineering education and expand upon my completion of IED. This course threw a lot at me and keeping up was a challenge sometimes through the semester. This course taught me a lot from solving mathematical problems to solving physical ones. It also emphasized a lot on team work which I liked doing. It's almost always easier to have someone with you to share the work load. If I were given the option to take this course again I would. The second time around I would know what to watch out for and what to focus more time on.
